The New Highlander Bar is open!

They did it! Against all the odds, including an unexpected Spanish bank Holiday, the new Highlander Opened it's doors on Friday 2nd November as planned. No wonder Alex and Helen are pleased.

One week before.. and then on the night. You can see how much effort went into getting the bar ready for you to enjoy the next big game.

Old and new friends keep coming back to the Highlander, famous for its Scottish welcome and great live sport

David Shearer from Paisley was on holiday in Puerto Rico and he managed to attend both the closing night at the old Highlander (what a game!) and the opening night at the new Highlander. "Its absolutely brilliant" said David , who has been coming to Gran Canaria since 1999 and has been a Rangers Supporter for over 50 years.

The new private terrace one week before launch
The new bar has a large private terrace with a retracting roof, so you can enjoy the beautiful Canarian weather here. You can watch the busy activity in the shopping centre below.

The new Highlander Bar is still in the Puerto Rico Shopping centre. From the old bar go up one level, and keep walking on the right hand balcony towards the Chinese Buffet, turn right and it is about 50 metres further on, overlooking the main road.

The new Highlander awaits the final touches of decoration but you can still get all your favourite scottish drinks here
So, the new bar is ready and waiting for you..Give him a few more days and Alex will finish the lighting, electrics, TVīs music, decoration and everything else.... But still come and see him now and join the fun at the new Highlander - The new top location for the best nightlife in Gran Canaria.
