Every Rangers game is a really special event for us, and you can be sure that the bar will be buzzing and full of atmosphere. With our state of the art TV system and multiple decoders we can make sure that whatever channel is playing the game, we can get the right feed complete with your favourite commentary. Between the games it's a great place to come and pick up the latest chat, or just meet other rangers fans enjoying themselves here in Gran Canaria.

We are also delighted to have hosted key players from the Rangers Football Club here at the Highlander. Rangers and Scotland Captain, Barry Ferguson, is a great friend of ours and opened the original and the Playa del Ingles Rangers Bars. Subject to availability and commitments he will at some stage in the future perform the official opening of the new Puerto Rico bar. Other stars who have joined us in the Highlander include Terry Hurlock and the sadly missed Jim Baxter.

The first Highlander bar was opened in 1997 in Puerto Rico, and was an instant success with the many Rangers fans who visit Gran Canaria each year. In 2000 we opened the second Highlander bar in Playa del Ingles, a slightly larger bar with more facilities. Now, in 2007 we are updating our Puerto Rico facilities by moving to a much larger unit and concentrating our Rangers Supporters Club in one place. But we are keeping the same team to look after you and keep you up to date with the latest Gers news.
