We are famous for making you feel right at home in our sports bar and looking after you the way you like to be looked after at home. The Highlander is also proud to be the only official and original Rangers Supporters Club in Gran Canaria. We follow the Gers for all their matches so you don't miss either the game or the atmosphere when you come to our pub in Gran Canaria, and we also cover all other major sporting events on our big screens here.

We´ve stepped up to a new era!


On 2nd November 2007 the new expanded Highlander Bar in Puerto Rico opened its doors and new terrace for the first time! We have merged the current bars to create one new enhanced Rangers Supporters Club in Gran Canaria in Puerto Rico, and we have also extended and improved our website! Everyone loves the changes we have introduced which have made the Highlander the place to watch live sport and join the fun in Puerto Rico

The new Highlander can be seen from the Taxi rank next to the Puerto Rico shopping centre - our sign, and the bar are below the Hiperdino sign!


The new Highlander Bar combines the traditional feel of a Scottish bar we created in the Highlander, with the relaxed seating and sunshine of a pool bar on our private terrace. You can find lots more photos of the new bar in the Photo Gallery. Also please have a wee look around our new web site, and let us know what you think of the new look, the new colours and design. One of the major features is the 'latest news blog' so Alex can keep you uptodate with all the latest news about the Highlander and the full range of Live Sports we show here.

The Highlander bar is now being bought by Tommy the bookie who has been there for 4 years now so the bar will stay the same..but as the Sports castle. Please Please no more job applications...I apologise to all who havent had a reply Have had puter probs for bloody weeks now.....We have been getting about 6 applications everyday...but due to staff relocation when I sold the playa bar we are fully staffed for the foreseeable future....Thanks for the applications tho. Texas holdem is back Fri and mon nites..and some wednesday nites also./....Alex.
